Here’s the latest on Golden Corral, the popular buffet restaurant in Shiloh
The Golden Corral Buffet & Grill in Shiloh has reopened after closing earlier this year for a major remodeling project.
The restaurant at 3360 Green Mt. Crossing Road announced the reopening in a Facebook post and an email emailed this week.
“Join us in our newly remodeled dining room,” the Facebook post states. The improvements include an ``updated interior with new decor,” a stone fireplace and an “enhanced buffet area.”
Customers on Facebook were happy to hear that the restaurant had reopened. The announcement post had 27 likes, 16 comments and nine shares. “I do believe half of Centralia is coming in the next few days,” one post said. The restaurant responded: “We’ll be ready for you!”
The temporary closing of the Shiloh location was part of the company’s ongoing process of remodeling and re-imaging its restaurants.
Golden Corral president and CEO Lance Trenary spoke about the process in a podcast in June 2022.
The Golden Corral at 350 Homer Adams Parkway in Alton was remodeled in 2022.

The Shiloh restaurant is open seven days a week. Hours are Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
