Court documents are providing more details about the fatal shooting of a township worker inside a Pennsylvania local-government building.

David Green faces a homicide charge after police say he opened fire at the Paradise Township municipal building Tuesday morning, killing 65-year-old Michael Tripus.

An affidavit says the 72-year-old Swiftwater man told police that he'd been having problems at his new house, including mold. A neighbor reported that Green was having trouble getting township permits for work at his house.

The victim was the township's sewage enforcement and building code officer.

Court documents say Green paced the hallway after the shooting and held his head in his hands until officers arrived to take him into custody.

Prosecutors have filed a homicide charge against a man accused of opening fire inside a Pennsylvania municipal building, killing a township employee.

David Green covered himself with a yellow tarp as he was led into a magistrate's office for his arraignment Tuesday afternoon. He was ordered jailed without bail. He told reporters he is "sorry for what I did."

Authorities say the 72-year-old Swiftwater man walked into the Paradise Township municipal building and shot 65-year-old Michael Tripus, the township's sewage enforcement and building code officer. Police took Green into custody without incident.

Online court records don't list an attorney who could speak on Green's behalf.

Pennsylvania State Police have released the identity of the victim in a fatal shooting inside a municipal building, as well as the identity of a man taken into custody at the scene.

The victim of the shooting in Paradise Township was identified as 65-year-old Michael Tripus. The township's website listed him as the sewage enforcement and building code officer.

Police say a gunman walked inside the municipal building in the Pocono Mountains around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday and opened fire. State and local police took 72-year-old David Green of Swiftwater into custody without incident.

State police haven't said what motivated the shooting.

Trooper David Peters says one person was shot and killed. He says police took a man into custody.

The Monroe County coroner's office is at the scene.

Gary Konrath, chairman of the township's Board of Supervisors, says the victim is a longtime township employee.

Paradise Township is about 20 miles (32 kilometers) north of Ross Township, where a gunman opened fire at a Board of Supervisors' meeting in 2013, killing three.
