The seventh X-Golf America indoor golf simulator in Massachusetts will officially open on the South Shore this week.

No matter the weather, anyone can tee off at the new Hanover location at 1207 Washington St.

A soft opening was held over the weekend and an official grand opening is scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, with the Hanover Chamber of Commerce. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony and mini-game challenges, regional director Andrew Stark said.

Golfers can choose from world-renowned courses and take advantage of the California-based company’s technology that uses lights and lasers to track each swing. The system also features "the ultimate caddy," which automatically tees the ball, adjusts the tee height to your preference and collects the ball for you.

Each round of 18 holes takes about an hour.

Reservations for any of the nine simulator bays can be booked by the hour. It costs $55 an hour at any time Monday through Thursday and before 4 p.m. Friday; and $70 per hour after 4 p.m. Friday and any time Saturday or Sunday. Half-hour sessions are available for practice at half the cost. Each bay can host one to six players.

The Hanover location also serves liquor and food.

Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday from 9 a.m. to midnight; Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight; and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
