Latest Pets Up For Adoption At Omaha Area Shelters
Do you want to add a furry friend to your family and give back to the Omaha community at the same time? Maybe it's time to adopt a pet! Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, many shelters in Omaha and environs are still working to fulfill adoptions.
There are thousands of dogs, cats and other animals of all ages and sizes without a home in Nebraska — and many are located within driving distance. Some are picked immediately by welcoming families, while others wait for years to be adopted. For those looking to adopt, a great place to begin the search for your new companion is at Nebraska Humane Society, where GENJI the dog is waiting patiently, or another local animal shelter. If you aren't sure if you have time to take care of a pet year round, many shelters also offer opportunities to foster pets until they are placed in permanent homes.
