Here are the latest San Joaquin County election results race-by-race

US Rep. Josh Harder, D-10th District, continued to lead San Joaquin Supervisor Tom Patti in the race to represent San Joaquin County in Congress in the latest election results released by the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters Tuesday.

The update, which comes one week after Election Day, included thousands of new ballots added to the count. The total number of counted ballots is now 137,296 or 35.6% of the county's 385,000 registered voters.

Harder and Patti are seeking to represent the county in the newly created 9th District. Longtime Congressman Jerry McNerney did not seek reelection.

In other races, Carlos Villapudua continued to lead Veronica Vargas in his reelection bid for the California State Assembly, while Paul Canepa and Steve Ding maintained their leads for seats on the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors.

Congressional, District 9

Overview

Democrat Josh Harder leads Republican Tom Patti in the race for District 9. Harder has 56.81% of the vote.

California State Assembly, District 13

Overview

Assemblymember Carlos Villapudua is seeking a second term as the District 13 representative in the California Assembly. Tracy Mayor Pro Tem Veronica Vargas is seeking to unseat him.

  • Carlos Villapudua: 39,818, 60.99%

  • Veronica Vargas: 25,469, 39.01%

San Joaquin County Supervisor, District 2

Overview

Stockton City Council member Paul Canepa and former Stockton City Council member Elbert Holman Jr. are both seeking to replace Kathy Miller as the District 2 representative on the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors. Miller is terming out this year.

  • Paul Canepa: 12,705, 56.88%

  • Elbert Holman Jr.: 9,631, 43.12%

San Joaquin County Supervisor, District 4

Overview

Restaurant owner Steve Ding and businessman Steve Colango are vying to replace Chuck Winn on the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors. Winn is completing his second term as the District 4 representative.

  • Steve Ding: 15,314, 52.94%

  • Steve Colangelo: 13,614, 47.06%

Stockton City Council, District 1

Overview

Stockton City Council, District 1 challenger Michele Padilla, a teacher, leads incumbent Sol Jobrack with nearly 60% of the vote.

Stockton Unified School District

Overview

Four seats for the Stockton Unified School District board are on the ballot in the Nov. 8 general election. Incumbent AngelAnn Flores and newcomers Donald Donaire, Sofia Colon and Kennetha Stevens are leading the race.

  • Rafael Cardoza: 432, 14.68%

Board Trustee Area 7

  • Kennetha Stevens: 1,814, 49.52%

  • Zachary Avelar: 1,084, 29.98%

  • Renee Icasiano: 434, 11.85%

Lincoln Unified School District

Two seats on the Lincoln Unified School District board are up for grabs. Local mother Allyson Aranda is leading the race for Area 1 with nearly 50% of the vote, while substitute teacher Bonnie Centers is leading the race for Area 5 with about 73% of the vote.

The San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters is scheduled to post another update by 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22. Results will be officially certified by the California Secretary of State no later than Dec. 8.
