Here are latest snowfall and sleet totals from across Wisconsin over the last 24 hours

This week's winter storm hit across Wisconsin but with varying effects. Parts of Wisconsin saw heavy snow in places like Sheboygan and Appleton, while southern Wisconsin saw mostly sleet and freezing rain in areas like Milwaukee and Racine.

Here are some snow and sleet totals, according to the National Weather Service, as the winter storm moves out of the state.

Southeast Wisconsin

Most of southeast Wisconsin was hit with either freezing rain or sleet that caused Racine and Waukesha counties to declare a state of emergency. Additionally, Racine and Kenosha counties saw significant power outages that left over 50,000 customers without power at one point.

Here are the snow and sleet totals for the area.

  • Mitchell International Airport, 1.5 inches of sleet

  • Waukesha, 2.7 inches of snow and sleet

  • Wauwatosa, 3 inches of snow and sleet

Northeast Wisconsin

The northeast part of the state saw some of the highest snow totals. In Green Bay snow was so heavy that Austin Straubel International Airport closed on Wednesday.

Here are the snow and sleet totals for the area.

  • Kohler, 10 inches of snow

  • Appleton, 8.5 inches of snow

  • Sheboygan, 8.5 inches of snow

  • Green Bay, 8 inches of snow

  • Sister Bay, 8 inches of snow

  • Pulaski, 7.5 inches of snow

  • Oshkosh, 6 inches of snow

North Central Wisconsin

Here are the snow and sleet totals for the area.

  • Lamartine, 12 inches of snow

  • Wausau, 7 inches of snow

Northwest Wisconsin

The highest totals in Wisconsin were in the far northwest where lake effect snow added to the totals.

  • Benoit in Bayfield County, 26 inches of snow

  • Odanah, 15 inches of snow

  • Washburn, 12 inches of snow

  • Eau Claire, 6.7 inches of snow

  • Hayward, 5.8 inches of snow

Southwest and South Central Wisconsin

The southwest portion of the state saw varying totals of snow and sleet accumulation during the storm. The area also saw hazardous conditions on its roads as the I-94 corridor was one of the most affected roadways in the state.

Here are the snow and sleet totals for the area.

  • La Crosse, 9 inches of snow

  • La Farge, 7.5 inches of snow

  • Madison, 1.5 inches of snow and sleet
