Here are Wisconsin snowfall totals over the last 24 hours
Any hopes for spring's arrival in Wisconsin were buried under inches of snow this weekend as a late March storm, originally expected to bring smaller snowfall numbers, grew into a heavy snow event that canceled events, caused power outages and led to numerous travel hazards.
As the last lingering effects of this system are starting to move out of the state, here are some snow accumulation totals according to the National Weather Service.
How much snow fell in the Milwaukee area?
As heavy snow started to pile up in Southeast Wisconsin nearly 7,500 We Energies customers were left without power — 1,500 of which were in Milwaukee. During the storm, Milwaukee police confirmed that there were 58 weather-related calls for service during the storm's peak hours.
The snow also led to the cancellation of the 2023 Milwaukee Marathon as snowy conditions proved to be too much for organizers.

Over a foot of snow fell in Madison
After a slightly above average winter for snowfall in Madison, the start of spring has seen that trend continue as the area saw over ten inches of snow during this snow storm.
Hazardous conditions on the I-94 corridor between Milwaukee and Madison were the source of various car accidents.

Here's how much snow fell in Oshkosh, Appleton, Green Bay
The east central portion of the state saw the most significant snowfall numbers during this storm as with Oshkosh seeing more snow than anywhere in Wisconsin according to the weather service.
