SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — The Latest on police shootings in Sacramento (all times local):

The family of an unarmed black man shot by police in Sacramento, California, is seeking millions of dollars in damages from the city for his death.
The city announced the claims Thursday. The family of 22-year-old Stephon Clark is seeking more than $15 million, including for funeral expenses, attorney fees and punitive damages.
The city says such claims are usually a precursor to a lawsuit.
The news comes the same day Sacramento police fatally shot another person they say had a gun. It's unclear whether the man aimed or fired at officers before they killed him. A police spokesman says a gun was found next to him.
Police shot Clark in March. Officers said they thought he had a gun but later found he was holding only a cell phone.

Two Sacramento police officers have shot and killed a man they say was armed with a gun.
It happened at about 3 a.m. Thursday in the backyard of a home in the Curtis Park neighborhood, about two miles from the state Capitol.
Police Sgt. Vance Chandler says officers responded to a 911 call report about a masked man carrying a gun.
Officers located a man but he fled into a neighborhood. Police surrounded the area and called in a SWAT team.
It's unclear whether the man pointed a gun at officers or fired at them before they killed him.
However, Chandler says a gun was found next to the man.
In March, the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black man, Stephon Clark, set off weeks of protests in Sacramento.
