A new Latin/South American restaurant has opened in the neighborhood. Located at 3737 Adams Ave. in Normal Heights, the recent arrival is called Pachamama.

Named after an Andean earth goddess, according to pacificsandiego.com, the eco-friendly eatery's entrees include roasted pasture-raised chicken, crispy wild salmon and organic tamales.

With a 4.5-star rating out of 28 reviews on Yelp so far, the newcomer is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Sheila J., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 26, wrote, "What a great new place! First weekend open and the place was packed — good sign. We tried the steak, salmon, and tuna ceviche. Our fave was the steak. Everything was super fresh."

Yelper Gloria M. added, “I love Pachamama! Everything about it feels like it's done from the heart. With the beautiful and green space, the friendly staff, the exquisite art and the delicious food, you can't go wrong.”

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Pachamama is open from 5–10 p.m. daily.
