Laura Turón's artwork inspired by water goes up at Upper Valley roundabout

A new public art piece inspired by water is going up at the roundabout at the intersection of Country Club Road and Memory Drive in the Upper Valley.

Installation of the work by artist Laura Turón is expected to be completed by late January, according to a news release from the city of El Paso's Museums and Cultural Affairs Department.

The artwork honors the importance of water in the Borderland and how water unites neighborhoods and residents.

Turón is an emerging artist in the field of permanent public art. She also is the creative force behind the Paradox Immersive Art experience at 10180 Socorro Road in Socorro.
