Lauren London honors Nipsey Hussle on their son's first Father's Day without his dad
Amid the crush of social media tributes to fathers everywhere, Nipsey Hussle’s girlfriend is quietly remembering the slain rapper with a family photo.
“One of the reasons I fell in Love with You ... Your Fatherhood,” she wrote on Instagram for Father’s Day, captioning an image of their son, Kross, now 2½, snuggled on her shoulder with his pacifier, with his dad gently tapping the toddler’s chest.
“Today we celebrate You,” the model wrote, ending her post with a heart emoji. “Love you Ermias.”
In her Instagram Story, she added, “Happy Father’s Day to The Great" and "Sent a lot of prayers to Heaven last night.”
Hussle (real name Ermias Asghedom) also had a daughter, Emani, from a previous relationship.

Famous fans including Taraji P. Henson and Tyrese weighed in with supportive comments.
Henson offered up praying hands and kiss emojis, while Tyrese wrote, “RIP King!!!! Praying for you LL and the angels!!! Happy Father’s Day and YEAR to the real ones that do this thing for REAL year round!!!!!”
Hussle was gunned down on March 31 outside of his clothing store in South Los Angeles.
At his memorial service on April 11, London praised the hip-hop star as a partner, father, "majestic soul" and relentless seeker of knowledge.
“He researched everything," she told mourners. "Completely self-taught. He went to bed reading audiobooks, which I said was nerdy but thought was secretly cool."
She noted that "grief is the final act of love," and invoked Hussle’s words: "Until we meet again, the marathon continues."
Last month, a grand jury indicted suspect Eric Holder in Hussle’s shooting death on one count of murder, two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.
