Lauren London Shares She’s ‘Missing’ Late Boyfriend Nipsey Hussle in Touching New Tribute

Some days are more difficult than others when dealing with the loss of a loved one.

After tearfully speaking at Nipsey Hussle’s funeral on April 11, the slain rapper’s girlfriend Lauren London shared a black-and-white tribute to her longtime love on Easter Sunday.

“Missing you,” the 34-year-old actress captioned the image of her and her boyfriend of six years.

In the photo, which appeared to be taken from a red carpet interview, the pair cast adoring looks at one another while standing by each other’s side.

London and Hussle share 2½-year-old son Kross.

London tearfully remembered her longtime partner, whom she referred to as “the love of my life,” at the slain rapper’s Los Angeles memorial earlier this month, in front of a crowd of 21,000 who had gathered to pay their respects.

In her eulogy, London read a loving text message she wrote on Jan. 21 to her boyfriend, which she explained was written while Hussle was sleeping one morning — something she said she “loved” to watch him do. The copy of the text message was also featured in the funeral’s pamphlet.

“I want you to know I feel real joy in my heart when I’m around you. I feel safe around you. Protected. Like a shield over me when you’re around, I am totally myself when I’m with you,” London had written. “You’ve made me into more of a woman. You’ve given me an opportunity to really love a man,” said London, who was dressed in all white with black sunglasses.

After reading the text message, London told the crowd, “His soul was majestic. He was the strongest man that I ever knew. A gentle father, a patient leader, a divine light. He was brilliant. He researched everything, completely self-taught, constantly seeking knowledge.”

Hussle, 33, died on March 31 after being shot outside of his Hyde Park clothing store, the Marathon Clothing Company.

At the memorial, London also became emotional at the thought of her child growing up without his father.

“My pain is from a 2-year-old that probably won’t remember how much his dad loved him,” London said. “This is something that I don’t really understand but I know Ermias always used to say that you can’t possess people; that you experience them. I’m so honored and blessed to experience such a man.”

London was joined at the memorial by Hussle’s daughter Emani Asghedom as well as London’s son Cameron Carter (whom she shares with rapper Lil Wayne).

Following the emotional service, London went on show off a new tattoo on her forearm honoring her love.

In addition to an image of Hussle’s face with a crown and racing flag, the inking also includes the saying “God Will Rise” underneath — the same phrase that was tattooed on Hussle next to his right eye.

“Real Love Never Dies,” she captioned the photo. “When you see me, you will always see him #LoveYouHussle #TMC”

Nipsey was allegedly killed by Eric Holder, 29, who has been charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, according to the Los Angeles County’s District Attorney’s Office.

On April 4, Holder entered a plea of not guilty in court. Holder could face a maximum sentence of life in state prison if convicted.

Holder has hired attorney Chris Darden, who famously was part of the prosecution team in O.J. Simpson’s murder trial.
