Officials reported a fresh eruption at the Cumbre Vieja volcano in La Palma on the evening of September 27.
The Canary Islands Volcanology Institute (INVOLCAN) said an eruption took place at around 8 pm local time.
Copernicus EMS said on Monday that satellite imagery indicated that some 513 homes and 18.9 kilometers (11.7 miles) of roadway had been destroyed by volcanic activity since September 19.
