Lava 'Tsunami' Gushes From La Palma Volcano

Lava flowing from the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma led to further evacuations on Thursday, October 14.

Copernicus EMS said 6,800 people had been evacuated in total, with lava covering 674 hectares. It said 1,548 buildings had been destroyed.
