Lavery Brewing Co. to unveil space, new taco truck opens, Harborcreek Dunkin' rockin'

Lavery Brewing Co., 128 W. 12th St., which has been undergoing renovations as owners fill the vacant space nexdoor, posted Monday that the renovations are just about done. They'll be open Friday. "Cheers to the end of an era and the beginning of our new legacy," they posted. "We will be closed with the final steps of construction before our reopen on Friday. We will see you all on the 28th and we'll have a lav together."

Taqueria, Dunkin openings

Taqueria Montes & More, a food truck owned by Priscila Montes, was licensed to open April 13. The food truck held a grand opening Sunday at 206 Eagle Point Blvd. For information, visit bit.ly/taqueriamontes.

Harborcreek Dunkin', 4007 Buffalo Road, is celebrating its grand opening this week. On Saturday, the party continues from 10 a.m. to noon with $2 small hot or iced coffees, donut decorating for kids, face painting, live radio broadcast on Rocket 101, as well as prizes.

New menu at Perry's

Perry's Tavern inside the Flagship City Food Hall, 22 N. Park Row, has a new menu, bit.ly/perrysmenu, and a new cocktail, Red Ranger, made with cabernet sauvignon, Jim Beam, a hint of red birch beer and amaro.

BJ's coming to Millcreek Mall

Millcreek Township last week was presented with a land development plan for BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse. The plan includes a 7,662-square-foot eating and drinking establishment located at the Millcreek Mall. The franchise specializes in deep-dish pizza and craft beer and has more than 215 locations. Products for sale

Ginny's Sauce, made by the family that used to run the former Chuck & Ginny's at West Fifth and Raspberry streets, reappeared at a wholesaler last week, http://stellofoods.com. It has since made it to Larry's Central Market, 1626 Sassafras St., and makers intend to get it into Giant Eagle and Wegmans, according to an email I received from John Hepinger, son of the late Virginia "Ginny" Smith. Smith died in February.

Presque Isle Wine Cellars, 9440 W. Main Road, North East, is offering a blow-out sale this weekend. They're open Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring a container that is at least one gallon, and there is a 3-gallon minimum to get the sale price. Speaking of wineries

Wine & Tapas weekends, May 12-14 and May 19-21, will include 20 wineries from Lake Erie Wine Country serving up a small food or appetizer and selected wine, plus three samples.
