Renovations are almost complete at Lavery Brewing Co., 128 W. 12th St., according to owner Jason Lavery. The brewery is expanding into the space left empty when Hungry Howie's closed in 2022. Lavery said April 7 the official unveiling will take place April 26. Both the kitchen, serving and dining areas are growing into a new look and getting some breathing room.

Riverside Brewing Co., 1 Fountain St., Cambridge Springs, co-owner Deanna Howles recently squelched a rumor that the facility is for sale. "I don't know where these rumors come from," Howles said. She and her husband, Jason Howles, opened the brewery/restaurant/event venue in 2019. They renovated the former Riverside Inn after it was heavily damaged by fire in May 2017.

Molly Brannigan's

The landlord for Molly Brannigan's, 506 State St., has placed a "For Lease" sign in the window of the currently closed Irish pub owned by Red Letter Hospitality. The pub has been closed since a Christmas weekend storm caused burst pipes and heavy water damage.

"We are still working closely with the insurance company on the damage," a March 31 Facebook post read. "Any questions regarding the lease advertisement can be directed to the landlords."

Spokeswoman Anne Lewis said they had no further comment on the situation.

Lake Erie Wine Country

Members of the Lake Erie Wine Trail are inviting wine lovers on a spring tour every weekend in April. Called Chosen Treasures, the event ticket includes four tastings per winery per person, as well as a bracelet and unique charm from every participating location, including Johnson Estate Winery, Yori Wine Cellars, Sparkling Ponds Winery, Driftwood Wine Cellars, South Short Wine Co., Presque Isle Wine Cellars, Liberty Vineyards and Winery, Noble Winery and Arrowhead Wine Cellars.

Tickle's Deli

And just like that, Tickle's Deli, 17 W. Fourth St., has closed and gone. The restaurant changed hands in January of 2020 to owner Linn Wasielewski. On March 18, a short note went up saying it was for sale and would be "liquidated" by April 6. The deli was popular for downtown lunch takeout and delivery for decades.

Sunset Drive-in

Stuff the tailgate with snacks and blankets. Sunset Drive-In, 808 Route 97, Waterford, will open this weekend, featuring "Super Mario Brothers" (PG) and "Puss in Boots The Last Wish" (PGP). Gate opens at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The first movie starts at dusk. Admission for 12 and older is $9; ages 7 through 11 is $4. Children 6 and younger get in free.
