The wedding celebration is held at a hotel in the Georgian town of Kvareli. The couple got married in Tbilisi.

A journalist of Mtravari checked if Vinokurova (Lavrova) had really arrived in Georgia. He called to the Kvareli Lake Resort Hotel, where she was staying, and introduced himself as a courier who had to deliver flowers to her. The hotel administration confirmed that Russia's Foreign Minister Lavrov's daughter stayed there.

The Kvareli Lake Resort, in turn, accused the journalist of spreading disinformation and stated that no one with the name Lavrova is staying at their hotel as of now.

Another hotel, Akhasheni Wine Resort & Spa, has also denied the information about the possible presence of the Vinokurova (Lavrova) and her spouse there, as journalists suggested.

However, a rally is planned near the Kvareli Lake Resort Hotel, the Georgian service of Radio Svoboda reported. The hotel was later surrounded by police.

Lavrov's daughter, together with the older daughters of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin were sanctioned by the UK., the United States as well as other countries back in April 2022.
