The news comes after a sizable development in Law & Order, with Jeffrey Donovan departing his role as Frank Cosgrove at the end of the 22nd season. The actor reportedly left the role due to creative differences, with the character’s exit set to be explained in the season premiere.

“We are thrilled to be working with Lark Productions and Citytv to bring this series to life. We cannot wait to showcase our amazing city in the Law & Order franchise,” said producer Amy Cameron in a statement.
