KEY ACTION Discussed four acres that owners of Camping Adventure Rentals want to purchase on Fort Laurens Road.

DISCUSSION: Trustees said the perspective property owners want to locate a camper business at the site. A public hearing will be held if the sale would move forward.

In another matter, after an executive session, trustees granted pay increases of 75 cent per hour to Chuck McNutt, road superintendent, Todd Reynolds, cemetery sexton, and Ron Weekley, zoning inspector.

OTHER ACTION

• Selected Matt Ritterbeck to serve as trustee chairman. Trustees rotate chairman each year.

• Removed the Kinder Morgan item from the agenda. The issue is with the prosecutor. Kinder Morgan installed a pipeline through the township; however, the roads were not repaired as promised.

• Appointed Roxanne King as an alternate on the zoning commission.

• Passed a resolution to adopt 2022 permanent appropriations of $3,278,489.

• Heard a complaint about a house, located in the township, that needs razed. The property owner was contacted and he would like the fire department to hold a training to burn the house.

• Held a discussion about Air Bed and Breakfasts located in the township and what restrictions could be implemented.

• Set the 2022 committees as follows; Regional Planning – Don Ackerman, Mike Haueter, alternate; Health and Recreation, Streets and Roads – Ritterbeck; Health Board Representative and Zoning Commission – Ackerman; Wellhead Protection, Safety Committee, Cemetery and Township website – Haueter.

UP NEXT meets at 7 p.m. Jan. 31, changed from Jan. 27 to the trustee winter conference.
