Lazy Dog Opens New Restaurant At Fair Oaks Shopping Center

FAIRFAX, VA— With Northern Virginia entering the second week of phase one of the state's coronavirus reopening plan, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar at the Fair Oaks Shopping Center will be opening Saturday, June 6 for patio, curbside takeout and delivery service. The restaurant will eventually employ more than 200 people when the restaurant begins operating at full capacity.

Multiple flat-screen TVs will be installed throughout the Fair Oaks Lazy Dog bar and patio areas, and a dog-friendly patio will offer a special menu for dogs featuring grilled meats and brown rice.

The Lazy Dog menu is dedicated to comfort foods and focuses on dishes that highlight carefully picked ingredients, as well as handcrafted cocktails and select beers from local breweries. Each restaurant has an atmosphere that celebrates the scenery and artisan authenticity of the Rocky Mountains.

“We are excited to open our second Fairfax County restaurant and to bring our style of hospitality and delicious food to the Fairfax neighborhood,” said Chris Simms, founder and CEO of Lazy Dog. “The team, the guests and the community are the reason why we do what we do — to offer a dining experience that feels like family. We can’t wait to welcome the Fairfax community to Lazy Dog.”

Earlier this year, Lazy Dog opened a new restaurant in Chantilly at the Field at Commonwealth, a retail development off Westfields Boulevard in Chantilly.

Lazy Dog offers brunch on the weekends, plus daily happy hour and late-night offerings.

Lazy Dog's bar features a variety of handcrafted cocktails, including the smoked maple bacon old fashioned with bacon-washed Tincup mountain whiskey and the watermelon margarita with small-batch Lunazul tequila, and house beers like their Huckleberry Haze IPA.

Designed to feel like a Rocky Mountain Wyoming escape, Lazy Dog’s grand interior, when Northern Virginia allows indoor dining, will be complete with lodge-inspired furnishings such as fireplaces, ledge stone and a chandelier crafted from Aspen logs.
