LBI's Chicken Or The Egg Closes After Positive Coronavirus Test

BEACH HAVEN, NJ — The Chicken Or The Egg will close for a few days after someone in the building tested positive for the coronavirus. All staff will get tested for COVID-19, and the restaurant will get professionally sanitized during the closure, according to CHEGG's voicemail.

Here is the full voicemail message as of Saturday morning:

"We are very sorry to inform you that somebody who has been in our building recently has tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, we will be closing effective immediately until we can have our entire staff tested and facilities professionally sanitized. We realize that these actions may seem extreme, but there is nothing more important to us than the safety of our customers and staff. We expect to reopen in a few days once we have cleared all required protocols. In the meantime, we apologize for the inconvenience, and we will update everyone via our website and social media as soon as we have further details. Thank you for your continued support. May you stay safe during these unprecedented times."

CHEGG had been offering curbside pickup because of coronavirus restrictions.
