Lubbock Christian University on Wednesday announced its women's basketball schedule, one that includes the Lady Chaparrals starting the season in Kansas City at the D2CCA Women's Basketball Tip-off Classic.

LCU faces Missouri Southern on Nov. 5 and Missouri Western on Nov. 6, both in Municipal Auditorium. Missouri Western, coached by former Texas Tech coach Candace Whitaker, made the Elite Eight of the Division II NCAA Tournament last season.

The event in Kansas City is one of three regular-season tournaments on the Lady Chaps' schedule. In the Carpet Tech Classic at the Rip Griffin Center, LCU will host Colorado Christian on Nov. 11 and Colorado State-Pueblo on Nov. 12. Though it has a title sponsor, the event is part of the traditional early season Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference/Lone Star Conference Tip-Off Classic.

The Lady Chaps also are entered in the Holiday Hoops Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada, facing Georgia Southwestern State on Dec. 16 and Montana State Billings on Dec. 17.

The Lady Chaps have home exhibition games at 1 p.m. Oct. 29 against Southwestern Assemblies of God and at 1 p.m. Nov. 26 against Oklahoma City University. The Nov. 26 exhibition, followed by a Nov. 27 home game against Western Colorado, will make up the Lady Chaps' Thanksgiving weekend schedule.

LCU starts conference play Dec. 1 at home against Oklahoma Christian and plays its first five LSC games in December.
