Leadership Tuscarawas graduation is May 9

NEW PHILADELPHIA − The Leadership Tuscarawas Class of 2023 will present an overview of their community projects at the graduation celebration on May 9 at Kent State Tuscarawas, 330 University Dr. NE.

Twenty six class members sponsored by small businesses, corporations, manufacturers and nonprofit organizations in Tuscarawas County will be recognized for their achievements in the 10-month leadership development program.

Each year, the Leadership Tuscarawas class is assigned community projects focused on enhancing the quality of life for people who live and work in Tuscarawas County. This year’s class worked on four projects: Dennison and Ohio Railroad Business Plan, Play Tusc (Youth Sports Closet), Healthy Human Connections Conference, and Dude, Save Your Lungs (youth anti-vaping campaign).

Following the presentations, a graduation ceremony will be held with Brad Bielski, dean of Kent State University at Tuscarawas, as the featured speaker.
