“Jeffrey is always calm, collected and clear in his messaging to us, even if the future outlook is uncertain like it was during the pandemic,” an employee comment stated. “I feel very comfortable trusting him to lead us and our business.”

Meiler has a history in financial services and new business startups. Before starting Marlette Holdings and Best Egg, he was the president and co-founder of Independence Energy, a startup retail energy supplier that was purchased by the Fortune 500 company NRG Energy.

Meiler also held various executive roles at Barclaycard U.S and Juniper Bank, was a general manager of Citigroup UK’s credit card business and was CFO of the Associates’ European Business.

Marlette Holdings prides itself on its leadership principles aimed at bolstering the relationship between customers and employees, and balancing short-term results with long-term goals of sustainable growth.

“Every meeting or speech provides transparency on the good and the bad,” an employee wrote.

Marlette Holdings and Best Egg have also been recognized for their ability to adjust their workplace to accommodate the pandemic and the company’s push for further growth.

After signing a lease for a new office in 2020, leadership at Marlette made sure to prioritize flexibility and autonomy for its employees as they decide what method of hybrid work is best for them.

The office space was adjusted to include more collaborative spaces and conference rooms as they work on establishing a routine for employees to meet and collaborate. Leadership has even gone so far as to offer omelet stations, food trucks, and happy hours on Wednesdays to employees who work in the office.

“I am humbled and honored to receive this recognition as one of the top leaders of a large company in Delaware,” said Meiler. “It is a priority for us to cultivate a workplace culture where employees matter, transparency is rewarded, and fun is encouraged. I am proud to lead such a wonderful team.”
