Leahy, Vetter each score five goals for St. Thomas Aquinas girls lacrosse

DOVER - Megan Leahy and Cat Vetter each scored five goals as the St. Thomas Aquinas girls lacrosse team beat Coe-Brown, 21-5 on Monday in a Division III contest.

It was the first home game of the season for the Saints, who improved to 3-0 on the season.

Lizzie Holden added three goals for STA, and Annita Parmelee, Reece Anderson, and Charlotte De Tolla all had two. Teammates Kensley Harris and Lila Meuse both had one, while goalie Anna Stailey had one save.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Winnacunnet 13 

Merrimack Valley 4 

MERRIMACK – Skye Mace led Winnacunnet with two goals, 10 draw controls and 10 groundballs in this Division II win.

Maia Delano had a team-high four goals for the Warriors, while Abby Wilber had three. Teammates Sarah Rademacher, Emmy Granger, Shea Graham and Clara Nardone all had one goal.

Timberlane 17

Spaulding 4 

PLAISTOW - Sophia Olsen had three goals, and Armani Ragas had one for Spaulding in this Division II loss. Spaulding goalie Izzy Orrell had 16 saves.

Oyster River 17

Kennett 0

DURHAM - Grace Royal had five goals and three assists, and Waverly Oake-Libow had four goals and three assists for Oyster River in this Division II win.

Elsa Pueschel (four goals, two assists), Keira Ferris (two goals, assist), Elizabeth Walent (goal, three assists), Mia Weglarz (goal) and Emy Pryzbylski (assist) all factored in the scoring.

BOYS LACROSSE

Exeter 15 

Dover 3 

DOVER – Nick Sullivan, Gavin Lechner and Owen Williams all had three goals for Exeter in this Division I win.

Gabe Albert and Evan Delorie both had a goal and three assists for the Blue Hawks, while Marshall Lasewicz (goal, assist), Sean Haugh (first career goal), Will McIlroy (goal) and Ryan Dempsey (goal) all figured in the scoring.

Ethan Bernich and James Bernich both had three saves in the Exeter goal.

BASEBALL

Dover 11

Nashua North 1

NASHUA - Timmy MacGregor, Andrew Rapoza, Alex Cook and Nate MacGregor all had two hits for Dover (3-0) in a Division I win.

Both Rapoza and Ryan Sullivan had two RBIs for Dover, which scored six runs in the sixth inning.

Dover's Jon Dumais allowed one hit, one earned run and struck out three over five innings, earning the win.

Spaulding 6

Merrimack 5

MERRIMACK – Senior left-hander Josh Scamman allowed two runs and struck over nine over six innings as Spaulding improved to 2-1 with this Division I win.

Belmont 4

Somersworth 3

BELMONT - Somersworth left the bases loaded in the sixth and seventh innings in this Division III loss.

Somersworth's Zephan Yoder allowed three hits and two earned runs over four innings, striking out eight.

Yoder and Will Sneddon each had a hit for Somersworth; Yoder had an RBI double.

SOFTBALL

Exeter 3

Londonderry 1

LONDONDERRY - Senior Kristen Beebe struck out 16 and allowed just three hits for Exeter (4-0) in this Division I game.

Londonderry scored an unearned run in the first.

Summer Leclerc had two hits, including a solo homer in the fifth which gave Exeter a 2-1 lead. Emma Plourde drew a bases-loaded walk, extending Exeter's lead.

Annie Christiana had two hits and scored a run for Exeter, while Madi Paige had a hit and scored, and Avery Allard had a hit.

Spaulding 13 

Merrimack 6 

ROCHESTER – Ky McLaren had two hits, scored three runs and drove in two for Spaulding in this Division I win.

Anna Stanley had a triple and two RBIs for the Red Raiders, while Jula Ziadeh (two hits, two RBIs), Addison French (hit, RBI) and Liv Dionne (hit, RBI) all contributed.

Spaulding’s Maddie Hartman and Hailey Strong allowed a combined six hits and three earned runs on the mound.

Winnacunnet 9 

Goffstown 4 

HAMPTON – Lily Snow led the Warriors with two RBIs, and three hits, including two singles and a double in a Division I win.

Maeva Shapiro and Maddy Eaton both had a double in the win, while Kate Gagne had two singles. Shapiro added two RBIs.

Oyster River 4

Campbell 3, 8 inn.

LITCHFIELD - Aubrey DeJesus' two-run single in the eighth proved to be the difference in this extra-inning, Division II win.

Lorelye LeClair, Mia Boyd, and Aliza Parks all had two hits for the Bobcats.

Somersworth 21

Belmont 7

BELMONT - Danna Dyer struck out nine, lifting the Hilltoppers to this Division III win.

VOLLEYBALL

Winnacunnet 3

Keene 0

HAMPTON - Joshua Schaake had 12 kills and Bryce Molnar had 19 assists for Winnacunnet (2-1) in its Division I home opener.

Schaake now has more than 300 career kills, while Molnar surpassed the 400-assist milestone.

Individual game scores were 25-17, 25-19, 28-26.
