Psst — a little birdie told us that Grammy Award-winning singer LeAnn Rimes is about to help us kick off the new year in the best way possible.

The "Blue" singer has been a busy bee. Between recording her upcoming studio album called God's Work, helping pour wax for her candle line, recording her lifestyle podcast Wholly Human and serving as inspiration judge on the discovery+ competition series Meet Your Makers Showdown, we're constantly trying to keep up with what LeAnn has in the works. As if that doesn't already sound like a jam-packed catalog of accomplishments, the singer just shared even more exciting news with fans on Instagram.

She captioned the announcement post with: "I’ve got a little secret to tell you… I’ll be opening this year’s @rose_parade on New Year’s Day!! I’m so excited! Head to the link in my stories to find out more 🌹 #2022RoseParade"

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses is a new year's celebration that has been celebrated for over a century. This year, LeAnn is going to kick off the 133rd Rose Parade with a re-mixed and re-mastered song titled Throw My Arms Around the World. It's a song made especially for the Rose Parade and as an international multi-platinum selling singer, there's a good chance LeAnn will make it the first song to add to our 2022 playlists.

Of course, fans were thrilled to hear the news and left sweet comments on the singer's Instagram post like:

You can expect the Rose Parade dancers, Rose Parade drummers, fireworks and a two-hour long line of some of the most stunning floral floats you've seen.

The 133rd Rose Parade presented by Honda airs live on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 8 a.m. PST on ABC, NBC, Hallmark Channel and Univision.

The parade will be followed by the 108th Rose Bowl Game where Ohio State takes on Utah in the hopes of winning the Leishman Trophy.
