Parents of young children and those planning for a baby will receive valuable tools, resources and information during Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare’s annual Baby & Family Fair Virtual Speaker Series from April 25-29.

This free, weeklong, virtual event features eight panels made up of Leon County’s top pregnancy, postpartum and pediatric experts, covering topics including childhood development, preparing for the unexpected, breastfeeding basics and what they don’t tell you about postpartum.

This year’s fair also features a panel on preventing childhood injuries and recognizing signs of abuse, moderated by Sen. Lauren Book, Florida Senate Democratic Leader and founder of Lauren’s Kids, a nonprofit that works to prevent child sexual abuse through education and awareness.

In addition to Book, panel moderators include local pregnancy and family advocates:

  • Trishay, aka Mama Yata, Melanin Mothers Meet (M3) Founder

  • Amy Kimmel, birth doula and Postpartum Support Specialist

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is dedicated to helping parents make decisions about pregnancy, childbirth and raising a healthy family by connecting them with experts, resources and services in the Big Bend region.

Series is online via Zoom. Register at TMH.ORG/Fair.
