The Collins-Maxwell football team put up plenty of points against Grand View Christian Friday.

But the Spartans couldn't get enough stops on defense to take down the Thunder, falling 75-64 in the final game of the regular season at Des Moines.

Collins-Maxwell piled up 650 yards of offense, including 434 through the air. But the explosive performance wasn't enough to keep pace with an even more formidable Grand View Christian attack.

The Thunder burned the Spartans for 707 yards during the high-scoring affair.

Collins-Maxwell finished the season with a 3-5 record. Grand View Christian ended up at 5-4.

Here is what we learned from the Spartans' loss to the Thunder.
