I had a hope chat with Pamela Morgan, president of Key Insights, LLC a training, lecturing, and consulting agency, on my latest Think Hope Podcast. Pam is a 2022 recipient of one of the HOPEE (Helping Others Practice Enduring Empowerment) awards that Mothers In Crisis presented in April during the National Month of Hope.
On the “Five Reasons to be Thankful” episode Pam shared powerful testimonies of living a life of faith after she was delivered from crack-cocaine.
One of the testimonies was about how she was able to hear the Lord telling her to go and check on her son who was about to fall off steps that were two stories high onto their concrete driveway. It was a very moving and powerful example of God’s grace in action. We then discussed how being thankful also means to be full of grace as you recognize God’s favor upon your life.
It brought back many memories of how when all odds were against me, I was able to maintain an attitude of gratitude when I remembered God’s grace upon my life. In my book, “As Long As There Is Breath In Your Body, There Is Still Hope” I share about my personal journey through the hellhole of addiction and how I know it was because of God’s grace that I was able to overcome.
Even today there are times when I want to grumble and complain about many things, but I remember the main thing and that is, God is good and has been so good to me. I cannot help but smile and that brings me hope.
Five reasons to be thankful and always be full of grace:
God is Real
God’s (Zoe) Life
God’s Love expressed through Family, Friends, Loved Ones
God’s Eternal Forces: Faith, Hope, Love
