At least 1 injured after SUV slams through local Great Clips

At least one person suffered serious injuries after an SUV crashed through a hair salon in Greenville.

The crash happened shortly after 10 a.m. at the Great Clips located in the 1500 block of Wagner Avenue, according to initial reports.

Greenville police and fire officials on the scene said at least one person in the building was hit and injured as the SUV went through the building before striking a rear wall and coming to a rest.

The injured bystander was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with was were described as serious injuries.

Several other people were reported to be in the salon at the time but suffered no serious injuries.

“It just felt like a bunch of wind I felt like it was a tornado coming through,” said Mary-Lou Runner Thompson, who was there to get her hair cut.

She told News Center 7′s Tayler Robertson she’s just thankful she’s okay.

“The car missed me but it got the glass, pushed me and I slid over to that side,” Thompson said.
