At least 10 dead in Pakistan grenade attack: police

A wedding ceremony in Pakistan's largst city Karachi ended in bloodshed on Saturday night.

Police said at least ten people were killed, including women and children, as they were travelling home from the event in an open truck that was targeted in a grenade attack.

The reported blast occurred as the country celebrated its Independence Day.

The motive was not immediately clear and there was no immediately claim of responsibility.

Two people were critically injured.

Last week, three people were killed in two separate grenade attacks in the southwest of Pakistan.

Both attacks were claimed by a separatist militant organization there.
