At least 16 injured in Colombia car bomb blast
The car bomb exploded near Corinto city hall, Cauca department, and wounded 11 city government officials, three of whom were taken to hospital in critical condition, local media reported.
The blast sent plumes of smoke into the sky, witnesses said.
The explosion occurred around 4 p.m. local time (21:00 GMT).
Authorities have not reported any deaths from to the blast.Criminal groups are fighting over several regions of Cauca for illicit coca and marijuana crops and illegal mining.
