At least 2 killed in train collision in the Czech Republic
At least two people were killed and about two dozen more injured when two trains collided head-on in the Czech Republic near Germany on Tuesday, authorities said.

The deadly crash happened at about 3 p.m. local time (9 a.m. ET) between the Nove Hamry and Pernink stations in the nation’s northwest near the German border, Czech rail officials said.
The number of injured could reach 30, according to Radek Hes, a spokesman for the regional rescue service.
Germany first responders came over the border into the hilly, wooded area where the crash took place, to assist Czech rescuers, the CTK news service reported. And at least one of the dead is a German citizen, according to CTK.
