At Least One Dead After Cable Car Collapses in Antalya

At least one person was killed and seven others injured after a cable car hit a pole and collapsed in southern Turkey on Friday, April 12, local officials said.

Footage posted to X by Turkey’s Minister of the Interior Ali Yerlikaya shows emergency workers treat injured victims on Friday evening.

According to the post, the accident occurred in the Antalya Konyaalti district, and crews were working to rescue 184 people that were left stranded when the cable car system came to a standstill following the collapse.
