At least one dead in wake of storm Julia in Mexico

STORY: Mexican Civil Protection Authorities said one person died after the heavy rainfall of Tuesday night in Acapulco, a tourist hotspot in the Pacific coast.

La Venta neighborhood's mayor, Juan Luis Delgado, said around 200 houses were completely damaged and many families lost their lifelong belongings.

Members of the army arrived in Acapulco on Wednesday (October 12) to help clean up debris from the streets.

Storm Julia's death toll in Central American countries rose to at least 25 on Monday (October 10), with most victims in El Salvador and Guatemala.
