At Least Two Dead Following Fire at Alzheimer's Nursing Home Near Prague

At least two people were killed and more than 50 injured after a fire broke out in a nursing home for patients with Alzheimer’s disease near Prague, Czech Republic, police said on Thursday, June 2.

According to a police statement, the fire occurred on the evening of June 1 in Roztoky, a town located in the Prague-West district, and the victims were discovered during the final stage of rescue work on Thursday.

Dramatic footage released by local authorities shows people being rescued and fire crews trying to control the fire.
