Lebanese Civil Defense Battle 'Worst Fires in Decades'

Firefighters in Lebanon were battling fierce wildfires across the Mount Lebanon mountain range from October 14, with the head of the country’s civil defense describing the fires as the worst to hit in decades, local media reported.

According to the Lebanese National News Agency, the Lebanese Red Cross said on October 15 that 18 people had been admitted to hospitals for treatment and 88 had been given first aid as a result of the fires.
