Lebanon reminds residents to get their dogs licensed

Jun. 20—LEBANON — The Town of Lebanon is reminding residents to get their dogs licensed.

Connecticut law requires all dogs six months of age and older be licensed. The period for licensing is June 1 through June 30.

After June 30, residents will be penalized $ 1 per month for each month they fail to license their dog.

The owner is also required to provide copies of proof of their dog's current rabies vaccination and proof that the dog is spayed/ neutered.

The fee for licensing is $ 8 for spayed/neutered dogs and $19 for unaltered dogs.

Dogs must have a valid rabies certificate at the time the license becomes valid.

Dog licenses can be renewed in person or by mail.
