May 13—The Lebanon and Zionsville baseball teams got a chance to experience some top venues on Friday night, and came away with a couple of wins.

The Lebanon Tigers faced Delphi up at Purdue's Alexander Field and came away with a 7-4 win.

Lebanon staked itself to a 2-0 lead in the second inning, getting an RBI-triple from Corbin Wells, who scored on a wild pitch.

Delphi came back to take a 3-2 lead in the third inning, but Lebanon tied the game in the fourth thanks to a balk.

Delphi reclaimed the lead in the top of the fifth, but a 2-run triple from Jamil Phillippe gave the Tigers the lead at 5-4.

After two strike outs, Ethan Coffman and Gavin Haines drew back-to-back walks to load the bases, before Bryce Nelson walked to plate a run. Coffman then scored on a wild pitch to make it 7-4.

Wells was 2-for-3 with two runs scored in the game. Coffman was 1-for-1 with two walks and a run scored.

Cayman Huntsman picked up the win, pitching the final 2.2 innings and allowing no runs on no hits. He struck out four.

The Tigers travel to Danville on Monday.

Zionsville faced Franklin and one of the top prep prospects in the country in Max Clark at Victory Field.

The Eagles pounced on Franklin early, and cruised to an 11-1 win in five innings.

Zionsville scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Riley Agbonhese singled to lead off the game, and after stealing second, scored on an error.

But the real rally started with two outs.

After a double by Nash Wagner and a walk to Josh Girvan, Max Bond hit an RBI-single to make it 2-0. After Girvan stole home to make it 3-0, Nate Horten walked ahead of Grant Gilley, who hit a 2-run triple to make it 5-0.

Gilley scored on an error to make it 6-0. After Wrigley Baumgardner and Agbonshese walked, Easton Moore singled in a run to make it 7-0 and Elliott Peter followed with a double to make it 8-0.

Two passed balls later and it was 10-0.

Franklin got on the board in the top of the fifth, but the Eagles walked it off when they scored on an error in the bottom of the inning.

Moore was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Gilley was 2-for-2. Wagner was 1-for-1 with two walks.

Chase Wagner got the start and allowed no runs on three hits in three innings. He had five strike outs.

The Eagles travel to Center Grove on Monday.
