Someone once sang: “You don’t tug on Superman’s cape.”

In this case, Superman could very well be Akron native LeBron James and the Memphis Grizzlies have made the mistake of pulling hard enough to get his attention in their first-round NBA Playoffs series.

The Lakers currently own a 3-1 lead and the Grizzlies' Dillon Brooks, who has had plenty to say about proceedings, has gone mute.

"I don't respect anyone until they come and give me 40," Brooks said of James after the second game in the series.

James came back and gave the Lakers 25 points in Game 3, a Los Angeles victory. And James continues to be a marvel given his 20 years in the league. In Game 4, James became the oldest player in NBA history to have a game of 20 points and 20 rebounds, according to BasketballReference.com.

Yes, it was a Lakers win and the normally loquacious Brooks didn’t speak with the media after the game, according to reports.

That doesn’t matter. Others – such as Shaquille O’Neal on the in-studio show “NBA on TNT” had plenty to say.

“Dillon Brooks said he doesn’t respect anybody until they get 40,” he said. “Twenty and 20 is 40.”

Mic drop.
