ESPN College GameDay hosts Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso, two of the longest tenured hosts of the famous show, went inside St. John Arena before the broadcast to take a look at the famed arena on Ohio State's campus.
The two were on campus as the No. 4 Buckeyes prepare to play No. 7 Michigan State at noon.
Herbstreit, a former Ohio State captain and quarterback who lives in Cincinnati and is from Centerville, guided Corso, the 86-year-old former head coach of Indiana into the storied arena.
"It's an old barn," Herbstreit said warmly.
"It's beautiful," Corso added.
The pair talked about Jerry Lucas and John Havlicek before Herbstreit asked Corso what he thinks of when he is on campus.
And the discussion switched to Woody Hayes.
"Woody Hayes, I think of him," said Corso who coached against Hayes during his run with the Hoosiers from 1973-1982, "and Olentangy Road and the Highline. I used to have lunch with him once a year and he would give me the list of prospects Ohio State was going to take in Michigan."
