Lee Health: Medical care without an appointment, waiting room

Lee Health recently launched Lee TeleHealth e-Visits, an asynchronous messaging-based telemedicine service. We are very proud to offer this new easy-to-use, convenient and cost-effective option for care.

The e-Visit allows patients to answer questions about their symptoms in a 10-minute online interview from the privacy of their phone or computer. With e-Visits, patients don’t need an appointment—the online medical interview is available 24/7 and adapts as patients answer questions. If the answer to the questions points to a problem that cannot be treated via e-Visits, patients will not be charged and will receive guidance on where to seek the appropriate care within Lee Health.

If answer can be addressed via the e-Visit, once it is submitted, and within a timely manner, patients will receive their diagnosis and treatment plan from a trusted Lee Health provider during specific business hours. Lee TeleHealth e-Visits require a phone, computer or tablet that can connect to the internet and a MyChart account. Insurance, however, is not required as this is a self-pay-only option ($29 per visit).

Telehealth services are available for patients to establish a trusting relationship with a primary care provider.

Lee TeleHealth e-Visits are the fastest, most convenient option for care for common conditions like colds, UTIs, rashes, ear infections and other non-critical symptoms and illnesses.

To help our patients determine the best venue for care—whether in-person, virtual (e-Visits and scheduled or on-demand TeleHealth video visits), urgent or emergency care, Lee Health also introduced an online symptom checker. Patients can click on ‘Get Care’ on the homepage of LeeHealth.org and look through a list of common symptoms and conditions or they can use the symptom checker to review more than 130 symptoms to help guide them to the most appropriate venue for care.

These are exciting ways we are empowering our patients to find the right care that is easy to use, affordable and convenient for their busy lives.
