Lee Iacocca’s Former L.A. Mansion Is Listed for $29.9 Million

Lee Iacocca’s former Bel Air mansion is currently on the market for $29.9 million. The Tuscan-style home spans an impressive 10,682 square feet and comprises five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, built with “luscious materials and craftsmanship,” according to the listing.

A tiled motor court fronts the luxurious dwelling, which opens onto an elegant, high-ceilinged front entryway with marble tile flooring. An oversize crystal chandelier dangles from the center of the room, and a set of wide marble stairs leads up to the second floor. Much of the common living spaces are open-plan, including a formal living room with a carved stone fireplace set adjacent to a formal dining area surrounded on multiple sides by large windows. A second, even more formal dining area features a delicate crystal chandelier and a wall of windows framed by heavy, ornate curtains. Elsewhere on the ground floor are a wood-paneled library and a chef’s kitchen with breakfast bar seating. The four guest bedrooms are all en suite, and there is a separate staff apartment on the premises. The master suite has its own living area with a fireplace—and there are a total of five fireplaces throughout the home.

Outdoor offerings at the palatial home (which sits on more than an acre of land) include a full, lighted tennis court, a swimming pool and spa, and carefully manicured grounds. Many of the common living areas open out onto covered terraces ideal for entertaining or an al fresco meal. Iacocca, who died last year of complications with Parkinson’s disease, was known to entertain such A-list guests as Bob and Dolores Hope, Frank and Barbara Sinatra, Priscilla Presley, and Betty White at the home. He was worth an estimated $150 million at the time of his death.
