The “divine house on Buckingham Place” where Lee Radziwiłł lived with her husband, Stanislaw “Stas” Radziwiłł could now be yours. The London townhouse, which the late socialite and sister of Jackie Kennedy purchased with her husband in 1959, just hit the market for £8.75 million—just over $11.6 million. The home, a sprawling double-fronted house situated behind Buckingham Palace, is where Lee and her husband regularly entertained high society figures, including President John F. Kennedy. The listing, which you can view here, is held by Dexters Westminster.

While the house itself may be royal-adjacent (literally), the property was home to real royalty. After Lee divorced her childhood sweetheart and the alleged son of the Duke of Kent, Michael Temple Canfield, she got together with Stas, a Polish Prince. The couple’s relationship moved rather quickly, as the two decided to purchase a home together in London. The freehold house is 5,613 square feet, with seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, and three reception rooms. It’s five stories tall.

Lee, an accomplished interior designer, recruited a fellow decorating maven, Renzo Mongiardino, to assist with the home’s interiors. Mongiardino, who was also an architect, award-winning art director, and production designer, brought the theatrics into Radziwiłł’s home, which was described by Architectural Digest at the time as having “Ottoman-meets-Moghul atmosphere.”

But today, what lies behind the home’s historic facade is a modern oasis, boasting clean lines, custom detailing, and neutral, comfortable furnishings. According to the listing, the ground floor is a hub for entertaining, with a family room, open kitchen, and dining room that leads out to a secluded patio and garden. The second floor features reception rooms and a private terrace, and the third floor is the “principal suite.” Above that are additional bedrooms and bathrooms, making the property ideal for a big family, or those who frequently host. A glass sliding roof panel leads to a decked room terrace, which has also been updated for entertaining. “This property is not only grand and historic but conveniently located close to the green open spaces of St. James’s and Green Park,” says Harry Laflin, Manager of Dexters Westminster. “On the doorstep of Mayfair, and close to Victoria, it would make a glamorous family home.”
