Lee sheriff's staff, court-ordered day workers help remove tornado debris at mobile home park
Members of the Lee County Sheriff's Office joined with day workers Wednesday to help cleanup from the tornado that hit the Century 21 Mobile Home Park off McGregor Boulevard.
Sheriff's Office officers, deputies, members of the newly renamed Civilian Support Unit and others along with the day workers — non-violent offenders under court-ordered service obligations — tackled piles of aluminum sheeting, vegetation debris, wood, and other pieces of wrecked mobile homes.
