LeEco to Hire Samsung’s Former Chief Marketing Officer Todd Pendleton: Report

China’s LeEco is in the process of hiring Samsung’s former chief marketing officer Todd Pendleton, according to a report by the Information. The company is also hiring Shawn Williams, who up until recently served as SVP of HR at Samsung.

Spokespeople for LeEco and Samsung didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Pendleton had joined Samsung in 2011, and was best known for being the driving force behind the company’s “Next Big Thing” marketing campaign. He left Samsung a year ago amid struggles to retain the company’s smartphone market share.
