Jan. 20 meeting

KEY ACTION Agreed to get current estimates for the installation for a restroom in the village hall.

DISCUSSION: Council President Kaitlin Bernhart asked about the requirements for a restroom to be installed in the village hall.

Council has discussed this project multiple times in the past without it having come to fruition, due mainly due to financial concerns. Fiscal Officer Sally Bernhart reported that the village may use some of the approximate $14,000 of American Rescue Act funding for this project.

Council discussed once again and agreed that the room must be handicap accessible and include both a shower and eyewash station. Village employee Skip Bernhart said the he felt this would also be an ideal time to have a faucet installed for the outside of the building.

President Bernhart will secure plans and costs for review at the February meeting.

Prior to the business portion of the meeting, Mayor John Traxler administered the oath of office to Kaitlin Bernhart, Carl Palmer and Bruce Palmer, for terms that will expire on Dec. 31, 2025.
