To prepare the choir ensemble for their performance, Councilman Cory Penn invited the group to perform at the Mobile City Council Chambers. In the post, choir officials said they were “grateful for the opportunity.”

Councilman Penn responded to the post, writing “I was thrilled to welcome the talented John L. LeFlore Magnet High School Chorus to the Mobile City Council! As a proud 2002 graduate and former chorus member, it’s incredible to see you all flourish. Congratulations on Carnegie Hall – an achievement that reflects the greatness of students in District 1.”
