Brentwood volleyball coach Barbara Campbell to be inducted into National High School Hall of Fame

Former Brentwood High volleyball coach Barbara Campbell, the winningest coach in Tennessee history, is being inducted into the National High School Hall of Fame's 2023 class.

“I was very honored when I received the news, but the absolute first thing I thought of was my players,” said Campbell, in a release. “They won this with me, they won this for me. I believe that from the bottom of my heart. I’m just very, very blessed.

“There’s a lot of great coaches out there, and I feel very, very honored.”

Campbell racked up 1,765 victories and 16 TSSAA state championships (including eight in a row during one stretch) during her 33 years at Brentwood before retiring in January 2021 following health issues.
