Former TCU quarterback Bram Kohlhausen is in intensive care in a San Antonio hospital, according to former coach Gary Patterson.

Patterson wrote on Twitter that Kohlhausen “suffered serious injuries” without elaborating.

“He will need all your help and prayers,” he wrote.

Kohlhausen had one of the most memorable performances in college football history when he led the Horned Frogs to a 31-point comeback victory over Oregon in the 2016 Alamo Bowl.

Kohlausen got the start — his first and only at TCU — after Trevone Boykin was suspended for a bar fight three nights before the game.

The Horned Frogs trailed 31-0 at halftime before Kohlhausen rallied them to victory, setting three school bowl records in the process.

Kohlhausen, who graduated from Houston Lamar, played two years at Houston and transferred to L.A. Harbor College for a year before joining TCU in 2014.

His story was the subject of a book, “Remember the Alamo Bowl: Bram Kohlhausen’s Epic TCU Comeback,” by former Star-Telegram columnist Jim Reeves.
